Celebration

What a busy week! The children have been learning about Wellbeing as part of Children’s Mental Health Week as well as how to stay safe online as part of Safer Internet Day. Congratulations to the children, who have demonstrated our School Values this week.

Chinese New Year

Children in Year 1 had an exciting morning learning about Chinese New Year. We were lucky enough to have Miss Louise come in and tell us it’s history and share some lovely traditions with us. The children will also enjoy a special Chinese New Year menu at lunchtime.

Celebration

Well done to everyone who receive a certificate in assembly on Friday. Our five values of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Enjoyment and Discipline are being demonstrated by all of you!

Mod Rock Monsters

In Year 1 we have had an exciting afternoon using Mod Rock to transform our model monsters into sculptures. The children can’t wait to see their monsters once they are dry!

Certificate Winners

What an amazing first assembly of the term! The children have clearly been busy over the Christmas break because we had many certificates, medals and trophies to hand out or share today. Well done to our class winners too. Today saw the first winners of a Bronze Award (50 Value Vouchers) enjoy their treat of extra play and biscuits with Mr Ray.

Free Creative Writing Session

A free creative writing session for 7-15 year olds will take place on Saturday 26 January at Central Library. Kurly McGeachie, Birmingham Poet Laureate finalist, will be leading the session and inspiring people to create their own stories and poems.

The free event will also provide advice and assistance for anyone interested in creating an e-book for World Book Day in March. The session will take place from 1pm -2.30pm and booking is required by contacting [email protected] or calling (024) 76832314.
