Remembrance Day

As we approach November, the children have been busy created poppies and writing poems to mark Remembrance Day. The children’s learning is up on display at Cannon Park Shopping Centre. Please do pop in to take a look at the fantastic display.

See you soon…

School reopens to Years 1 – 6 on Tuesday 6th September. If your child is starting in Reception this year, please refer to your letter with your transition schedule.

We look forward to seeing you all back in school soon – enjoy your final week of the holidays!

Platinum Jubilee

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, every child has created a commemorative plate. Six finalists have been selected from each class to be on display at Cannon Park Shopping Centre. Please do go to the shops and have a look at the fantastic display. One winner from each class has been selected and their plate has been made into a real plate – winners will be announced during Friday’s assembly.

World Book Day

Last week, the children enjoyed celebrating World Book Week, culminating in World Book Day on Thursday. On Monday, the children started a whole-school writing project inspired by the book Inside the Suitcase. On Tuesday, the children enjoyed a theatre showing of the Railway Children in school. It was lovely to welcome the theatre company back into school after such a long time. Thursday saw the children come into school in their pyjamas clutching their favourite books. In the afternoon, our older children read stories to our younger children. Everyone had such a lovely week!
