Coventry Clothing

Coventry Clothing, which is a charity that can help with clothes and school uniform, have just received a donation of primary school children’s swimwear from a school provider that has ceased trading.  If you need help with swimwear for swimming lessons (in or out of school), please speak to Mrs Smith, who can contact them and see if they have the size you need.

Also, should you need support with uniform for September, especially those starting secondary school, the school can refer you to receive a donation.  The charity will then deliver to the school if they have your requirements.

Alternatively, you can also self refer but you will need to pick the clothes up from Hillfields.

If you have clothes to donate, they would be very grateful for this.

To find out more, please go to the Coventry Clothing Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ClothingCoventry/

or their website clothingcoventry.org

Finally, we have a range of donated school uniform available for parents in need just inside the main front entrance. If you have any uniform that you could donate to enable us to keep our stocks up, please speak to Mrs Smith.

Children’s Mental Health Week

This week, we have been enjoying taking part in Mental Health Week. The children have really enjoyed the week, following the theme of ‘Let’s Connect’. This morning, all children took part in a human circle to remind ourselves of how important it is to connect with each other.

For more information on how to support your child’s mental health and wellbeing, please see the following image.

Free Radio Mission Christmas

Hi all
This year our school will be supporting Mission Christmas with Free Radio
All we ask is you donate a new gift to help ensure every child in Coventry receives a present on Christmas day.
If you can donate a gift,  please send it in with your child and we’ll make a display in the reception area.
If you feel you would benefit from receiving a gift, you can apply to Free Radio using the link below.
Thanks in advance for your support

Support Group

Stoke Heath Family Centre is delivering the Freedom Programme from Monday 7th November 9am-11am.  This is a women only group for survivors of DA.

Each session is a stand-alone session so women can dip in and out as they choose.

If you would like to be referred to attend, please contact Mrs Smith at the school.

Support for Clothing

Coventry Clothing is a charity in Coventry which supports anyone in need of clothes, shoes, trainers wellies etc.  Their aim is to work in partnership with schools to ensure all children in Coventry have the uniform they need.

Research has shown that a lack of school uniform is a significant barrier to learning and school attendance.

At Cannon Park, we do still have our uniform bank in the foyer, and are happy to accept donations, but if there is anything you need and not there, please follow the link below to find details of this charity.

If you need support with this, I can also refer you to this service.

As ever, please let us know if we can support your family in any way.
