Vision
At Cannon Park Primary School, we believe that the child is at the centre of everything we do. Including those with a range of different strengths and needs is a core part of our educational vision.
We are committed to meeting the needs of all children including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We expect every child with SEND to receive a full and enriching curriculum to enable them to achieve their potential.
Throughout a child’s time at Cannon Park, we aim to involve parents and families and build trusting and open relationships with them. It is important that we work as a team with you to ensure the best outcomes for your child.
Staff receive relevant training and support to ensure that best practice is used to teach and support children with SEND. Teachers, support staff and the inclusion team have frequent and open communication ensuring that the school community works together to implement plans and provide the best possible outcomes for children with SEND. We involve external experts whenever necessary to improve our offer and ensure that children’s needs are identified and met as quickly as possible.
