At Cannon Park, we are very proud of our School Council, who take their roles and responsibilities seriously. Our school councillors are role models for Cannon Park demonstrating our school values (TRIED). These pupils bring queries, suggestions or important information to the meetings so that decisions can be made.
The School Council gives all children a meaningful voice. Each term, two children from every year group are democratically elected for the role. Two councillors become the ‘voice’ for their year group, representing their class at school council meetings to talk over important whole-school issues. The children also take an active role in raising money for charities and school projects.
